Change

You are leader with a new team - either because you have just moved into the position or there have been changes in the makeup of the team members.

Where do you start?

Start with clarifying the team's identity and then build upon it.

Here are the steps for the team:

  1. Understand the team's identity - why they exist, what is their purpose

  2. Create how they will work together - the guidelines for which they hold each other accountable

  3. Each team member should understand their own style, what makes them tick, what they prefer and don't like

  4. Team members need to understand each other - more than just superficially

  5. Address specific issues

  6. Create a plan to work together effectively

With these steps completed your team will be off to a great start!
