Vision and action

Effective teams have a clearly understood, shared vision. That is their identity - their reason for being a team.

A vision is not sufficient for success. A team must also have actions aligned with that vision.

I believe team members want to do their best, but we all need direction and actions in line with that direction.

Great leaders give both direction and actions. Are your teams crystal clear on what they are to do every day that is aligned with the vision of organization?

Your job is to remind them. And reward them when their actions are in alignment with the vision. And have a caring confrontation if they aren't following the vision.
