People resist change. It is natural and normal.
Team members resist change for many reasons.
An effective leader would ensure their team understands the direction of the change and continues with two-way communication throughout the change process to make sure that resistance is minimized.
This resistance is a cause of wasted of resources and great leaders need to understand their team members' reasons for accepting and resisting change.
Through understanding others' perspectives change is better accepted and wasted energy and resources is reduced.
In this short video a leader is shown how to broaden his perspective so that change is better accepted. View "Overcoming Resistance to Change."
