Lead

I wrote an article called the "9 Symptoms of Highly Ineffective Leaders...and what to do about them."

The first symptom of a highly ineffective leader is MICROMANAGEMENT.

If a leader is more comfortable with the details of their staff's work than being strategic they often micromanage.

Once leaders learn the skills of working "on the business" compared to working "in the business" they trust their staff to make decisions about their own work.

Developing trust is a skill of an effective leader.

The following video is six minutes long and talks about leadership being like music, it is more democratic than it used to be. A leader must have a cast iron sense of the strategy and they can let the team members do their work and shine. Leaders must trust themselves and their team members.

Micromanagement/Trust

Want to become a more strategic leader? Want to let go of micromanagement?
