How to improve team meetings

Have you ever attended a meeting and in the middle asked yourself "Why am I here?"

This is not uncommon.

So that your meetings are value added:

  • Have a clear meeting purpose and share it with all attendees prior to the meeting
  • Create a realistic agenda - for each agenda item be clear if you are making a decision, holding a discussion or sharing information
  • Understand everyone's roles for the meeting
  • Send out pre-reading and preparation information
  • End with a review of actions and decisions made

Spending some time preparing for meetings ensures improved communication.....or you could save the preparation time and continue to ask yourself "Why am I here?"
