December is a time to reflect upon the last year. I have created new webinars and workshops. I've worked with long-time and new clients. I have served on volunteer boards and committees. I've increased my photography confidence & skills. However, as I look back on the year I realize that I am grateful for the people in my life more than the achievements I’ve made.
I am grateful to my business partners at the Haines Centre for Strategic Management. For bravely sharing Systems Thinking with the world using a unique business structure. And although at times, they push my buttons, I appreciate each of their unique contributions.
I am grateful for my family. My 86 year old mother is healthy and happy. I appreciate my brother and sister-in-law who live in the same city as our mother and do the bulk of the supporting. They aren’t alone, my aunts & uncle are there to lend a hand.
I am grateful to my husband who supports me in business and life with laughter and love. I can’t imagine a day without him.
I am grateful to my friends. They give much more in love, time & caring (and donations to Bladder Cancer Canada) than I could every give back.
I am grateful to my clients – they let me do what I love doing. Whether it’s coaching, facilitating or training with a Systems Thinking twist, I enjoy my career every day.
All of these people, and many more, have helped shape me into who I am today. My life wouldn’t be the same without them!
So as the year closes, reflect upon your accomplishments AND pause to appreciate the people in your life.
Wishing you and yours a terrific holiday season and a healthy & happy new year!
